Tasting Notes
Nice deep colour, smoky-spicy kinda funky nose. Intense fruit on the front palate with cherry tamarillo, currant and liquorice. Showing textural layers, richness, depth and complexity. Lots of nice dried culinary herb notes with well integrated oak. Tannic streak to finish. Dry with good weight body and length.

Oh My God!!! You have just converted a strict Sav Blanc drinker.
It was just amazing. I shared it (unwillingly, haha) with my girl friend
on Saturday night and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. If this doesn' win
awards, I will eat my shorts!!! (so to speak, haha) Thank you so much for
letting me taste this beautiful Pinot Noir. Thanks again
Winemakers notes-Nice colour, with brick red and purple hues. Chocolate, caramel and cherry notes on the nose. A nice vibrant nose, with hints of dried herbs and smoky notes. The palate is well fruited, with a certain softness and roundess developing, but the wine is still quite young, so does open up in the glass. The palate has good weight, structure and acidity and is well fruited, more in the cherry and herbal spectrum, with nice weight and elegance.
Only 200 cases.

Judge Rock, Venus Rosé 2006-SOLD OUT 2010 will be in stock in October 2010

100% Pinot Noir grapes, Pommard and Dijon clones, were harvested on April 25 2006.
The wine was crafted from free run juice after 3 day cold soak and then fermented at low temperatures for 6 weeks. The fermentation will be stopped to retain a slight sweetness. We are aiming for delicate strawberry and nectarine tropical fruit flavours with the mouth feel of a chenin blanc. A truly romantic wine perfect for an intimate light lunch or the long summer evenings. Best served slightly chilled. Available now. Limited stock be in quick.
