"Deep glowing crimson red. Wonderful floral perfumes, peony, violet and loamy earth scents. Walking over wild herbs, thyme and marjoram. Strawberry, cherry and loganberry aromas, sprinkled with red pepper. All these wonderful scents display in the mouth into a cornucopia of flavours and textures, harmoniously and beautifully structured. Elegant and superbly silky, what a joy to taste."

"I tried your 2006 Pinot Noir with barbecue roast lamb last night - it was great. Smooth and well balanced. Everything the label promised." Francis Weaver, Wellington.
Tasting Notes
Nice deep colour, smoky-spicy kinda funky nose. Intense fruit on the front palate with cherry tamarillo, currant and liquorice. Showing textural layers, richness, depth and complexity. Lots of nice dried culinary herb notes with well integrated oak. Tannic streak to finish. Dry with good weight body and length.

"This tiny wee pinot producer barely features on the national radar, but I’m hoping that’ll change because man, can they make the good stuff. Earthy spices, sandalwood and forest-floor notes hit the nose and a seam of savoury, mushroom cuts through the cherry and dried herb flavours on the way to a smooth, slippery, persistent finish. Perfect with chargrilled venison rubbed with cocoa."
Tasting notes
Dark cherry, chocolate and spice introduce the aromatic sensation. Complex, silky and bustling with great fruit weight and savoury nuances, this wine will please plenty of Pinot fans. Its, sumptuous and lasting with flavour and ready for your immediate consumption with loads of repeat visits through to 2011-12.
The 2007 was a small vintage with only 300 cases. The bunch weights were 40 grams with very small berries.
$35.00 order now to avoid disappointment.

"Quite a lot of smoky, schisty quite mineral character here, with fine, refined raspberry fruit. Keenly focused on the palate with a juicy cherry acidity giving a real edge, and very crisp, fresh tannins. Delicious stuff, a little infill of smoky oak adding some silky depth. 91/100. "

" Wish" Magazine 6 August 2010
"The best Central Otago pinot noirs manage to deliver layers of sweet fruit flavours while retaining freshness and perfume, all of which are found in this subtle example.
Aromtic black cherry spice and mushroom aromas with supple mid weight palate fininshing fragrant and long. Delecious with confit of duck."
Judge Rock, Rosé 2011
100% Pinot Noir grapes,10/5 and Dijon clones, were harvested on April 16 2011 especially for Rosé.
The grapes were whole bunch pressed lighly settled in tank for fermentation.
This Rosé has 5gram residual sugar and is in a dry style.
The wine has aromas of nectares peaches and strawberries with a buscuit note from the leess contact similar to a Chardonnay.
This is a truly romantic wine perfect for an intimate light lunch or the long summer evenings.
Best served slightly chilled.
